Results are in, and for most of us, hopes and dreams have been dashed. Let's take a look at some of the highlights from last Sunday.
Last years Masters Champion, Chambermaid wins via Putt-off after the odds on favorite, California's, putter lets him down as he 3-putts 18 for a double. Then follows that up with a 3-putt to lose the championship.
Hole 17 - 2 amazing things happen #1 - Headcase makes his only par of the day en route to a Gross 117. #2 The aforementioned California, records his sole Birdie of the day to take the lead by 1 going into the last hole only to shit the bed with a double on 18.
Golden Rod fires a Gross 93, playing down to the level of his playing partners. Ballooning his handicap by 20%. (Some would say in preparation for the Masters.)
In what may have been the upset of the tournament, Simple Joe ends up on top of Golden in the final standings. This was the first time of 2 instances that day that Joe ended up on top, beating Rod.
Only 2 Birdies were made at East Moreland, which certainly was an early test of will and grit for everyone involved. Group 1 even changed the name from "Birdie Bottle" to "Shank Shots" & "Dammit Drinks". We encourage you all to do the same!
Cheers Gentlemen. Onward & Upward.
